Personal Biography - Emily Ogden

    Emily HurlbutMeet Your Trainer

Hello, my name is Emily Ogden.  I am a certified personal trainer and arthritis aquatics instructor here at the Bradley Wellness Center.

    Who Am I:

I am a cheerful, easy-going girl that loves to laugh but will also motivate and push you to reach your goals and limits. I am very family oriented and people focused. Growing up my desire has always been to help my family stay healthy and active. Seeing my Mom continuously struggling with weight loss, I was determined to help her finally become satisfied with herself and I’m happy to say we’ve reached her goals together.

    Emily and MomBackground:

In 2011, I graduated from Bryan College with a B.S. in Exercise and Health Science. Shortly after, I became a certified personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). I am currently working on earning my second degree as a physical therapist assistant (PTA) through Chattanooga State Community College.

Health and fitness has always been a big part of my life.  I grew up playing soccer from 2nd grade all the way through college.  However, after graduating, my normal day became very sedentary.  One year later, I had gained 30 lbs and was unhappy with myself.  I began personal training other people but lacked the motivation to push myself through the same workouts I gave my clients.  With the help of friends and family, I was encouraged to enter the sport of bodybuilding.  Little did I know, this would require me to push myself to limits I had never experienced.  I began lifting weights and loving it and after four long months of training, I saw my body change in ways it never had before. When it was time to compete in my first bodybuilding show, I was hooked on a new lifestyle.

    My favorite client:

My favorite client is one that is focused to reach their goals no matter the obstacle.  I enjoy working with all types of clients from weight loss to post-rehabilitation. But, my overall goal is to help people achieve their goals and live a happier healthier life.
