Hey y’all! My name is Megan and I am a personal trainer here at BWC. I’ve always found the human body amazing and wanted to learn more about how it works and how to keep it strong and thriving. I love learning people’s stories and joining in on their journey to a healthy lifestyle!
I was born and raised right here in the Carpet Capital of the world. I attended Christian Heritage School for all 13 years and then continued to Georgia Southern University where I obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science. My mom was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2011, and fought a hard and long battle until it took her life in April of 2014. This experience served to grow my desire to help others overcome health obstacles and live life to its fullest. I chose to obtain my certification from the American College of Sports Medicine as a Certified Exercise Physiologist so that I can approach exercise as a form of prescription for many different types of health issues from weight control to hypertension. I have a wonderful husband and our baby Winnie (the cutest dachshund in the world) that support me with my own struggles with hypothyroidism. The frustration of weight gain and fatigue almost made me give up on my health, but then I found ways to enjoy exercise, feel better, and gain a new confidence in myself. I love my job here at BWC and am so glad God brought me from the lowest points, to some of my highest!
My favorite client understands that health is not a destination, but a lifestyle. I love when people are willing to be open and honest so I can join alongside their journey to healthier habits or improved physique. I want to help others overcome obstacles, provide accountability, and be a safe place they can find inner confidence. It’s not easy, but it can definitely be enjoyable. I promise it’s worth it!
