DALTON, Ga.– Bradley Wellness Center (BWC) will hold a Heart Mile Walk for heart health on Friday, Feb. 25 from 7 to 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The event will include a walk around BWC’s outdoor track (weather permitting), free door prizes, blood pressure checks, opportunities to sign up for free heart health classes and programs, a chance to sign up for free cholesterol checks, and heart health information. Participants will have the chance to win one of three six-month memberships to BWC. In the event of inclement weather, the walk will be held on BWC’s indoor track.

“Our Heart Mile Walk is a great way to start or continue your commitment to being heart healthy,” said Jennifer Johnson, marketing manager. “Walking can help reduce heart disease and stroke risks.”

February is American Heart Month, a time to remember that it’s never too early to take steps to improve the health of your heart.

Light, heart-healthy refreshments will be provided. Those interested in participating should check in at a registration area in front of BWC.
