DALTON, Ga. – Need to get out more?  Try hiking with the Bradley Wellness Center Hiking Club.  Hikers will travel to the Grassy Mountain/Songbird Trail on Saturday, Aug. 27.

“The Songbird trail is a 3-mile loop that starts atop Grassy Mountain,” said Angel Sutton, hike leader. “After hiking around the 17-acre lake the trail ascends through a wildflower meadow to a fire tower. The trail continues through the woods neighbored by a beaver dam-created pond ending at the larger lake for lunch and a swim if you'd like. Hiking is a fun way to exercise and can also be relaxing.”

The hike is rated moderate and is 3 miles in length. Hikers will leave from the BWC parking lot at 8:30 a.m.  There is no fee to participate but registration is required. Sign-up deadline is Aug. 20. For more information or to register call 706-278-9355.
