BWC offering new classes for members and non-members

DALTON, Ga. (Nov. 29, 2011) – Bradley Wellness Center will offer several classes in the next few weeks, open to members and non-members. They include Ballroom Dancing, Holiday Cookie Clinic, Belly Dancing and Choose to Lose.

Ballroom Dancing 

   Nelson Rodriguez, Ballroom Dancing instructor Are you getting ready for a wedding, cruise or a special night on the town?  Here’s your chance to learn the elegant art of Ballroom Dancing. Teaching the art of social dancing and Dancesport (competitive ballroom dancing) for more than 30 years, Nelson Rodriguez specializes in teaching and training competitive and non-competitive students, beginner to advanced, in all styles of dance. 
“Dance is the ideal exercise!” said Rodriguez. “When you take dance lessons, you make exercise a fun and enjoyable social event, any night of the week. For people with a hectic schedule, it can become a passion that helps improve their attitude and increase confidence in both social and business situations.”

This beginner class will start on Monday, Dec. 5. Classes will be held Monday nights from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. for 5 weeks. The fee is $80 per couple for members and $120 per couple for non-members.  A minimum of seven couples is required for the class.

 Holiday Cookie Clinic

  From left are Mandy Hunter and Erica Jones, Holiday Cookie Clinic instructors A Holiday Cookie Clinic will be held Monday, Dec. 5 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. for ages 3-11 years.  A parent must accompany those under 5.  The clinic will be taught by Erica Jones, registered dietician, and Mandy Hunter, Special Programs coordinator.

“The Cookie Clinic at BWC gives parents the opportunity to enjoy holiday baking with their children with no stress of cleaning up afterward,” said Jones.

The fee is $10 for the first child and $8 for each additional sibling for members and $20 for the first child, $15 for each additional sibling for non-members. 

 Belly Dancing 

   Jillanna Babb-Cheshul, Belly Dancing instructor  Belly Dancing, a beginner class taught by Jillanna Babb-Cheshul, will begin on Wednesday, Dec. 7, and run for 5 weeks from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m.

“Belly dancing exercises the entire body, giving special attention to the core muscles of the torso, strengthening and lengthening the back, and improving posture,” said Babb-Cheshul.

The fee is $35 for members and $45 for non-members. 

 Choose to Lose 

  Tom Morrison and Erica Jones, Choose to Lose instructors Choose to Lose is a weight loss and management program offered by BWC and taught be Tom Morrison, fitness coordinator, and Erica Jones, registered dietician. A free information session, providing program content, cost and times, will be held Monday, Dec. 12 from 6 to 7 p.m.
