DALTON, Ga. – Bradley Wellness Center (BWC) will offer a three-part series on Enhanced Running, devoted just for runners. Classes will be held from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. on June 3, July 1 and Aug. 5.
The classes are free and open to members and non-members.
“Runners want to get faster, run farther, be more efficient and stay injury free, but if they hope to reach this goal, they must do more than just run,” said Thomas Morrison, BWC fitness coordinator and instructor for the June 3 session. “You must incorporate other exercise into your workout plans, as well as some rest to reach your full running potential. Running is often believed to be purely about endurance or aerobic fitness, but muscular strength also plays a major role.”
The series titles are
“Why all runners should strength train,” June 3
“Nutritional value ON the course,” July 1
“STRETCHing your limits,” Aug. 5
To sign up by Monday, June 3, stop by BWC or call 706-278-9355.
